About Me
My name is Jorel Gregg, and I am currently looking to pursue a career in Cybersecurity. I joined the Marine Corps right out of high school looking to prove myself in life. The Corps provided that opportunity, along with valuable lessons in leadership and teamwork.
After 8 years of military service, I joined Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 598, following in my dad’s footsteps. Over the next ten years, I completed my apprenticeship and worked my way to General Foreman, a position I have held for the last 3 years. This experience has strengthened my leadership and organizational abilities and honed my attention to detail.
However, all my life I have had a strong interest in technology – from games to programming – and as I began considering the next phase of my career, I realized that cybersecurity aligned with the types of challenges I enjoy most: solving complex problems and continuously learning and adapting.
I am currently building my knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, including security fundamentals and ethical hacking practices. I’m excited to get started in this field!
